Despite being over 40 years old, Brian’s handmade Red Special guitar is still in great shape and is his first choice guitar for both live and studio work. Some wear on the fretboard is clearly visible and the pickup surrounds are crumbling, but the overall condition was remarkable. This picture was taken arround 1993 prior to the restoration work by Greg Fryer in 1997. Brian has obviously taken good care of his faithful Fireplace and the Old Lady is still ready to rock!
